In the past, 2nd Friday happenings have included speakers from the Shipwreck Museum in Fenwick Island, Funland in Rehoboth Beach, author Jim Duffy of Secrets of the Eastern Shore fame, and Abbott’s Mill. Game nights with young and old, an on-line scavenger hunt, on-line story telling, Irish Dancers, a jazz saxophone concert, Dealing with Grief, Preparing your Will and the History of Slaughter Beach among many others.   Local history is often a favorite and has included several local historians and we even found that our Church’s original (1910) organ was purchased with financial assistance of Andrew Carnegie.  Some events are serious, some are funny, some are educational but all are worthwhile.  All are free, family-friendly and open to the community too! See below to learn what’s coming in August!

Many thanks to Jim Ritch who presented an interesting, entertaining and enlightening 2nd Friday program for us, and to all in attendance. We look forward to being together again next month when we explore the fascinating field of underwater archeology!
